Description
Emmental supports your bones, muscles and eyesight. This Emmental is a French version of the Swiss cheese which takes its name from the valley (“Tal”) of the river Emme in the canton of Bern. Its production can be traced back to the 13th century. It is a medium, hard cheese with a mild savoury flavour.
French Emmental is a modern cheese with ancient roots and often mistaken for Gruyère. The production is characterised by the formation of holes, the “eyes”, by fermentation and a high calcium content.
